Accessible Voting
What is an assisted voting device?
An assisted voting device enables voters with visual impairments, cognitive/learning disabilities, illiteracy, and limited mobility to vote privately and independently. This device can read the ballot, magnify the print, mark the ballot, and verify their votes on a paper ballot. Thurston County's accessible voting device is the ExpressVote machine.
The ExpressVote machine does not count ballots.
