Auditor’s Office Seeks Community Members to Serve on “Against” Committees for Measures in the August Primary
Elections for West Thurston Regional Fire Authority (Littlerock), West Thurston Regional Fire Authority (Rochester), and Black Lake Fire District

OLYMPIA, WA – The Thurston County Auditor’s Office seeks “against” committee members for the following February ballot measures:
  • West Thurston Regional Fire Authority (Littlerock)
  • West Thurston Regional Fire Authority (Rochester)
  • Black Lake Fire District No. 9 – McLane Black Lake
Committee members provide written arguments in support of or against a ballot measure that will appear in the Local Voters’ Pamphlet.

“These committees give voters more perspectives and a better understanding of an issue,” said Auditor Mary Hall. “If you have an opinion about how your district operates, I encourage you to join the committee to help educate your fellow citizens.”

Committee member names must be submitted to the Auditor’s Office by 12 p.m. on Friday, May 17 via email at pamphlet@co.thurston.wa.us or in-person at 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Bldg 1, Rm 118 Olympia, WA.

To learn what you must submit, see page 8 of the administrative rules for jurisdictions found on our website at ThurstonVotes.org.
