Forecasted Storms and Election Day Reminder
For voters residing in Tanglewilde Parks and Recreation District No. 1 and Yelm Community Schools.

​OLYMPIA, WA – The Thurston County Auditor’s Office reminds voters Election Day is Tuesday, February 12. With the forecasted snow, voters are reminded to turn in their ballots as soon as possible. Drop boxes close at 8 p.m. sharp on Election Day, or must be postmarked by Election Day. Election Day does not change due to inclement weather.

Ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, February 12 or deposited into one of the 10 open ballot drop boxes no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day. A list of drop box locations may be found at ThurstonVotes.org. Voters who mail their ballot should check mailbox pickup times to make sure the ballot will receive an Election Day postmark. The Thurston County Auditor’s Office is a designated voting center from January 23 through Election Day. At the Auditor’s Office, voters may obtain a ballot, ask questions, use the AutoMARK™ voting assistance device, and take a selfie with Billy the Ballot Box.
