Chehalis Watershed Cooperative

Summary

In 2006, the Chehalis River flooded, causing around $20 million dollars in damages in Thurston County alone. Afterwards, Washington's Legislature funded the formation of a group to work on flood control along the river. This group included representatives from the various governmental jurisdictions through which the river flows: Thurston County, Grays Harbor County and the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation.

Date of Work Meetings started in June 2011 and ran through May 23, 2013, when the group voted to dissolve.
