Impacts to traffic will be significant due to the heavy use of Martin Way E.
  • Traffic signals will be shut down each morning at 8:30 a.m. to accommodate for peak traffic hours.
  • Traffic signals will be turned back on in the evening and overnight each day.
  • Dual lanes on Martin Way E will be reduced to a single lane.
  • Lanes on Duterrow Rd. SE and Meridian Rd. NE will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic.
The work is expected to last one week inside the intersection followed by one week of work outside the intersection.

“A new development is being built at the corner of Martin Way E and Duterrow Rd. SE,” reported Thurston County Traffic Engineering and Operations Manager Matt Unzelman. “Turning off the signal is necessary to install a new sewer line to connect those homes to services.”

Any questions or concerns can be emailed to Matt Unzelman at  matt.unzelman@co.thurston.wa.us. You can also reach him by phone at 360-867-2300.
