Ballots Mailed for Primary Election
Ballots available, drop boxes open for Aug. 4 primary

OLYMPIA, WA – More than 113,000 ballots have been mailed to registered voters in Thurston County for the August 4 primary election.

Replacement ballots are now available at the Thurston County Auditor's Office, located in Room 118 of Building One at the County Courthouse complex at 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW in Olympia. Any registered voter who has not received a ballot by Thursday, July 23 should contact the Thurston County Auditor's Office at (360) 786-5408 or elections@co.thurston.wa.us, or visit the Auditor's Office for a replacement ballot.

Ballots for military and overseas voters registered in Thurston County were mailed on Friday, June 19.

There are 25 candidates in eight races for the Port of Olympia; cities of Olympia, Tenino and Yelm; and the Centralia School District. Additionally, maintenance and operations levies in the Black Lake and McLane Fire Protection Districts are also on the primary election ballot.

The Auditor's Office has opened 25 secure ballot drop boxes throughout Thurston County. A list of locations and addresses is included in mailed ballot materials and available online at ThurstonVotes.org. These boxes are open 24 hours a day and will close promptly at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4 (Election Day).

Mailed ballots must be postmarked by August 4; voters are advised to check mailboxes for pick-up times, as the pick-up time may be much earlier than 8 p.m. on Election Day.
