Advisory: Heavy Truck Traffic at Waste and Recovery Center

Heavy truck traffic is expected to continue on the entry road to the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center (WARC) through mid-December. The trucks are hauling fill dirt to the five-acre site of the future Intercity Transit Park and Ride located across the entry road from the HazoHouse. "Trucks are in and out of the facility at about 15 to 25 per hour," says Scott Schimelfenig of Thurston County Public Works. "We urge citizens to be alert and cautious as they drive to and from the WARC."
