Zero waste lifestyle films on October 21

Olympia- On October 21 at 6:00 p.m., the doors of the Capitol Theater will open on a new event for the Thurston County community. Thurston County Public Works invites the community to the FREE, Less is More Film Fest, on the 21st, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Capitol Theater (The Olympia Film Society) on 5th Avenue in downtown Olympia. The festival will screen films that spotlight local and national efforts to reduce our impact on the environment, and bring attention to the many ways we can make a difference, reducing how much we waste in our own lives.

Join us for an evening of feature length and short films that will cover topics on everything from food waste, to clothing recycling, to living a "zero-waste" lifestyle. There will be free raffles throughout the evening (must be present to win), as well as opportunities to get involved in community efforts to reduce waste. If you've ever wanted to live a more sustainable life, or been intrigued by the eco-advocates who are working to lead the way, this is a great way to spend an evening.

More information, and a full program, is available on the Public Works Web Siteunder "news".
