Public Help Requested in Identifying "John Doe"

On March 25, 2007, human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off of Cedar Flats Road NW, west of Olympia, in unincorporated Thurston County.

Anthropologist examination estimates the age of the decedent to be 50 plus years at the time of his death. The anthropologist also determined the decedent to be between 5’-9" and 6’-0" and a Caucasian male with a possible mix of Native American, Asian or Hispanic races.

The examination also revealed the last eight vertebrae of his spine were fused together indicating surgery or an arthritic condition which would have caused the decedent to walk with a pronounced stoop.

A pair of green and white Nike brand athletic shoes and a pair of blue work pants were also found with the remains.

Anyone having any information which could lead to the identification of the deceased is urged to call Detective David Haller, of the THURSTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE @ 360-786-5279.
