OLYMPIA – Thurston County is working on an update to its Shoreline Master Program and is inviting the community to participate in the process.
County officials plan to host a series of community meetings to educate residents about the Shoreline Master Program update and take comments on proposed updates.
The first meeting in the series will be on October 17, 2017 at the Thurston County Courthouse Complex, Building 1, Room 152, 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia.

The County's current Shoreline Master Program has been in place since 1990. New rules from Washington's shoreline regulatory body, the Department of Ecology (DOE), have led to updates to shoreline programs in counties throughout the state.
