Thurston County Seeking Input from Citizens for County Strategic Plan
Online survey open for citizen feedback beginning December 11

OLYMPIA – Thurston County is asking citizens to participate in a survey to help the County in developing goals and priorities for the Thurston County Strategic Plan for 2018-2021. The survey will be open for responses beginning today, December 11, 2017, through Friday, January 12, 2018.

The survey is approximately 35 questions and should take citizens around 15 minutes. The questions represent categories including overall impressions of how the County is doing, issues of importance, tax dollar value, growth of the County, communication, and general demographic information.

“We are trying to get as many responses as we can so we have a good representation of our citizens,” said County Manager, Ramiro Chavez. “The goals of the County for the next four years will be developed based on the  responses we receive and will aid the County Commissioners in making strategic decisions in allocating resources and making budget decisions, so a broad reach will help us to better serve  our population.” He said, “Thank you in advance to everyone who participates in this survey.”

Citizens may also see survey cards at County service counters. These cards have only two questions and may be left at the service counter or mailed.
