Thurston County facilities are now open to the public with restrictions, including maintaining physical distancing of at least six feet at all times and, per the Washington State Secretary of Health’s face covering order wearing a cloth face covering or mask. If you come to county facilities, please be prepared for potentially long wait times or lines due to distancing guidelines. We continue to encourage residents to access county services online, by phone, by email, or through the use of drop boxes located outside of county buildings.

Public Hearing Set on Proposed Updates to the Capital Facilities Plan
Hearing set for September 19, 2018 at 7:00pm

​OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on September 19, 2018 to take comments on proposed updates to the County's Comprehensive Plan Chapter 6 update - Capital Facilities Plan. The hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter at the Thurston County Courthouse.

When: Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter
Where: Thurston County Courthouse, Building 1, Room 152, 2000 Lakeridge Drive, SW, Olympia

Chapter 6 of the Comprehensive Plan is the County's Capital Facilities Plan, which describes the County's expenditures and revenues for capital facilities during the coming six-year period; it is updated annually. Copies of the proposed amendments and supporting documents are available at the Thurston County Community Planning and Economic Development Department, Building Development Center, 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Olympia, Washington 98502, or online at: https://www.thurstoncountywa.gov/planning/Pages/comp-plan-update.aspx.

The public may provide comments in person during the hearing or submit them, in writing, to: Christina Chaput, Thurston County Community Planning and Economic Development Department, 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia, WA 98502. Written comments must be received by 4 p.m. on September 19, 2018.
