Despite Courthouse closure, Thurston County Elections will open 10 a.m - 8 p.m. on February 12, Election Day

​OLYMPIA, WA - The Thurston County Elections Office will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, February 12. Voters in Tanglewilde Parks and Recreation District No. 1 and Yelm Community Schools are conducting special elections. Voters will be able to access all election services including replacement ballots at the County courthouse. Election results will be posted shortly after 8 p.m.

There are 10 drop boxes located across the county which will close promptly at 8 p.m. Voters are encouraged to exercise caution while returning their ballots. Voters may also download a ballot at ThurstonVotes.org. All ballots including online ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, or in a drop box no later than 8 p.m. 

There are no provisions in state law to delay an election due to inclement weather.
