Background
Interim Emergency Housing Ordinance (15792) was adopted by the BoCC on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, and was renewed on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 (15902).
No changes are proposed for the renewal. The Growth Management Act allows the adoption of interim ordinances, and renewal every six months if a public hearing is held.
The interim ordinance allows the Director of Community Planning and Economic Development to waive some of the code standards for emergency housing encampments for up to six months. A public hearing is required to extend waivers beyond six months.
