Members of the public are invited to join Thurston County Emergency Management staff to learn about American Red Cross shelter planning and tour the county's new Emergency Coordination Center at the next Faith Communities Disaster Planning Workshop. The workshop will be held on Monday, July 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the new Thurston County Emergency Management building located at 9521 Tilley Road SW, just south of Tumwater.
The workshop, sponsored by Thurston County Emergency Management, is designed to assist faith communities in planning for disasters and to strengthen partnerships and coordination with local emergency management officials in community disaster planning.
The workshop is free and open to all community members. No registration is necessary.
