Thurston County Veterans Advisory Board Meets October 22nd


OLYMPIA -The Thurston County Veterans' Advisory Board will meet at the Thurston County Courthouse on the 22nd to discuss a variety of issues. Board members will consider public concerns that have been brought up the last few months. Other topics include-
  • A presentation by Members of the Nationally Recognized Veterans' Service Organizations regarding the application process for veterans' funding.
  • Discussion of funding for meals for the Stand Down being held November 16th.
  • The cost of heating this winter for those qualified veterans and their families.


~ Purpose of the Veterans' Advisory Board ~ "To advise the county legislative authority on the needs of local indigent veterans, the resources available to local indigent veterans, and programs that could benefit local indigent veterans and their families."
