Thurston County Veterans Advisory Board Meets August 12


OLYMPIA -The Thurston County Veterans' Advisory Board is meeting Monday, August 12th for their quarterly meeting.

Among other actions, the advisory board will-
  • Elect a new chair and vice-chair;
  • Meet candidates and make appointment recommendations to the Board of Thurston County Commissioners regarding the two vacant advisory board positions;
  • Work on next steps following the "2013 Serving Veterans' Conference" held June 5th of this year.


The next Thurston County Veterans' Advisory Board (VAB) meeting is scheduled for 6 pm Monday, August 12th at the Thurston County Public Health and Social Services building on the Lilly Road across from Saint Peter Hospital.

~ Purpose of the Veterans' Advisory Board ~
"To advise the county legislative authority on the needs of local indigent veterans, the resources available to local indigent veterans, and programs that could benefit local indigent veterans and their families."
