Property Tax Payments Due April 30th

OLYMPIA – The deadline is April 30th for Thurston County property owners to pay their 2017 first half property taxes. Because the 30th is a Sunday this year, the law allows the payment to be made the next business day, which is Monday, May 1st without late charges.

Property taxes can be paid through the Thurston County Treasurer’s web site at https://www.thurstoncountywa.gov/treasurer. No fee is charged for the electronic check payment option on-line. Taxpayers can also pay their property taxes on-line with a major credit card for a 2.35% transaction fee or with a Visa Debit card for a flat fee of $3.95.

Payments can also be made at the Treasurer’s Office or dropped off at the courthouse parking lot drop box located at 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Building One, Olympia, 98502. For credit card or debit card payments made at our office the same fees apply. Our office hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Payments made by mail must be postmarked by the due date. In accordance with state law (RCW 84.56.020) penalties and interest is added to the taxes due for any payments made after the due date.
