The Thurston County Auditor’s Office updated over 27,000 voter records in 2021 for nearly 200,000 registered voters. “Making sure the voter rolls are up-to-date is a top priority for our voter registration staff throughout the year,” said Mary Hall, Thurston County Auditor. “We work with our partners at the state and federal level every day to ensure our voter rolls are accurate.”

OLYMPIA – Thurston County Environmental Health will provide free water testing for flood effected wells beginning Tuesday, January 18. Testing consists of analyzing a water sample for the presence of E. Coli, an indicator that water may be contaminated flood water, animal waste, or sewage.

OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Public Health and Social Services Treatment Sales Tax (TST) program is seeking proposals for funding for programs that benefit residents who face challenges related to mental health or substance use. A total of $800,000 is available to fund services during 2022 and 2023.

On December 21, 2021 Thurston County declared a hazardous weather event for December 25, 2021 through January 1, 2022 due to the forecasted snow and frigid temperatures, as recommended by the Hazardous Weather Task Force (HWTF).
