The Thurston County Auditor's Office will hold a Passport Fair on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Thurston County Atrium Building. As the only provider of full-time passport services in the county, the Auditor's Office is dedicated to ensuring accessible passport services for community members.

Planning a trip should be an exciting experience, but falling victim to a passport scam can turn travel dreams into a nightmare. Scammers are taking advantage of travelers by offering “personalized passport instructions” and charging for resources that are already freely available on government websites. 

While the Department of Licensing and Thurston County Auditor’s Office will temporarily pause vehicle and vessel licensing services on Friday, February 14, residents can take advantage of increased walk-in capacity for passport application appointments. With the REAL ID deadline approaching on May 7, 2025, now is the perfect time to ensure you have the proper identification to fly. A passport is REAL ID compliant and can be processed quickly during this licensing service downtime.
