Hazardous Weather Event Extended - Increased Outreach Efforts and Emergency Shelter Beds Offered Through Thursday, January 23 Morning
Current extreme cold temperatures are dangerous for those without shelter. Thurston County Public Health and Social Services is extending a “Hazardous Weather” advisory to increase shelter-in-place efforts and offer extended nightly shelter beds that was set to end tonight. The advisory now ends on Thursday, January 23 at 8:00 a.m. The advisory may be extended again depending on review of forecasted weather patterns and shelter staff capacity.

World Cup Local Organizing Committee Announces Thurston County Fan Zone
The Seattle FIFA World Cup 26 Local Organizing Committee (SeattleFWC26) has announced that it will partner with nine locations across Washington including Thurston County, to host fan zones during the 2026 World Cup.
