Notice from Thurston County Public Health & Social Services announcing office closure on October 16, 2025, for an all-staff meeting, reopening the next day.

Thurston County Public Health and Social Services main office, located at 412 Lilly Rd. NE Olympia, WA 98506, and our Environmental Health office located at 3000 Pacific Ave SE Olympia, WA 98501 (Suite 225), will be closed to the public on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for an all-staff meeting. Regularly scheduled operations will resume as usual the following day, Friday, October 17, 2025.

Lab results taken from Pattison Lake on 09/30/2025 detected Microcystins toxin levels at 9.0 ug/L, which is ABOVE the state recreation guideline of 8ug/L.

UPDATE: There is currently NO fire safety burn ban in effect by Thurston County government. On October 10, a representative of the Thurston County Fire Marshal was instructed that the burn ban is lifted.
