Document recording services provide access to important personal and community documents. Here you can record or research property records such as mortgages, easements, and deeds of trust, among others. In addition, veterans can record their Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.

Please note, the first Wednesday of each month we open at 9:00 a.m. to allow for staff training.

Document recording has historically been a manual service. Recording is a legal process of putting property documents into the official records at the county. You are probably familiar with the process if you’ve ever bought a house. Deeds, easements, plats and other legal documents are all “recorded” or filed with the Auditor’s Office.
