The Thurston County Superior Court is accepting proposals for revisions to its local court rules. Proposals for revisions will be reviewed by the Board of Judges and, if adopted, become effective September 1, 2025. Written proposals must be submitted by Tuesday, February 18, 2025, to be considered for adoption this year. Proposals received after that date will be considered for 2026.

You can submit proposals by email to Matt.Morbello@co.thurston.wa.us or by regular mail to his attention at the courthouse. The Court will review all proposals but encourages submitters to propose specific changes to rules if possible. It is extremely helpful to receive proposals in the form of redline edits to current rules. Please note that beginning this year, select proposals will be posted on the Court’s website for initial feedback in March 2025. All proposed revisions will be posted on the Court’s website for a 30-day comment period opening in May 2025.

You may view or download the Court’s local rules here.
