Coming to the Family and Juvenile Court
Family and Juvenile Court (FJC) is a division of Superior Court that hears juvenile offender matters as well as adoptions, family law, child dependency cases, civil domestic violence and other protection order cases, probate and guardianships. Family & Juvenile Court also operates a juvenile detention facility.
Thurston County Superior Court is a state trial court of general jurisdiction. This court hears major criminal matters (felonies), civil cases, appeals from lower courts, appeals from state administrative agencies, juvenile offender matters, adoptions, dependency cases, family law, minor guardianships, protection orders, probates and guardianships.

Thurston County Family and Juvenile Court (FJC) is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., except County or State Holidays.
Court Administration is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Juvenile Department (Probation/Detention) is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., except County or State Holidays. After 5:00 p.m. on week days, weekends, and holidays, please call 360-709-3180.
