Regional Housing Council
Mission: A collaborative regional effort to increase affordable housing and housing stability and reduce homelessness in Thurston County by advising decision-makers, advancing regional goals, and educating the public.
The Thurston Regional Housing Council (RHC) was formalized with an interlocal agreement between Thurston County and the cities of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Yelm. An elected official from each jurisdiction, supported by a designated alternate, serves as the voting member to the RHC. Senior leaders from jurisdictions as well as technical staff from the jurisdictions support the RHC.

RHC Advisory Boards and Committees
Thurston Regional Housing Council has two advisory boards that make recommendations on related priorities, funding and policies. The Lived Experience Housing Steering Committee (LEHSC) provides guidance and insight to inform Thurston County’s homeless response system.

- Meetings are the fourth Wednesday of every month* at 4:30 p.m. in person and online.
- The RHC accepts public comment at this meeting and encourages public participation.
Starting in July 2026, RHC meetings will be held in person at 3000 Pacific Ave. SE, 1st Floor Rm 110, Olympia, WA 98501 held the fourth Wednesday of every month 4:30-6:00 p.m.
*November and December 2026 meeting dates to be determined.
